The Past Few Weeks in The B+ Squad
Hey all! Sorry for being quite for the past uhhh… month… I’ve been really swamped with work and just keeping the essays going for this project has been a lot, let alone alerting everyone who is still subscribed to the Substack to what I've been writing on top of that.
But! That’s just another reason why you should sign up for my FREE Patreon, where you can get all the essays when I write them, rather than waiting for this sporadic roundup. I cannot sign you up for my Patreon, you must do it yourself.
(Also, while essays will always be available for FREE, $5+ patrons get them a day early. And if you want to give me $1, I won’t say no.)
Anyway! Here’s what I wrote over the past month:
I can accept everything except change: Still struggling with my own fluidity!
All for all: They’re not threatened by what our identities say about us. They’re threatened by what our identities say about them.
Dear Abby was wrong (and I was right): Nuff said.
I ate the bisexual Oreos for science: Click to see if they were edible!
Do you want the Census Bureau to know you're bi?: The complications that come with visibility.
Silent acceptance?: You may think it might be impossible for me to get an essay out of a rewatch of a 10+ year old British show about fuckups with superpowers but you would be wrong.
Is TV just better for bisexuality?: Just some thoughts on whether TV having better bi rep than film is due to some structural considerations.
The youth are not the only bisexual voice: What is lost when we treat young people as the experts on bisexuality.
And then there were zero: I won’t miss Senator Sinema, but I do miss the feeling of progress she once represented.
